IMDB rating: 6.50 Plot: In 1660, with the return of Charles II to the English throne, theater, the visual arts, science and sexual intercourse flourish. Thirteen years later, in the middle of political and economical problems, Charles II asks the return of his friend John Wilmot, aka the second Earl of Rochester, from the exile to London. John is a morally corrupt, drunkard and sexually active cynical poet, and the King asks him to prepare a play for the French ambassador to make him pleased. John meets the aspirant actress Elizabeth Barry in the playhouse and decides to make her a great star. He falls in love for her, and she becomes his mistress; during the presentation to the Frenchman, he falls in disgrace in the court. When he was thirty-three years old, he was dying of syphilis associated to alcoholism and he converted to a religious man. |

Can anyone direct me to the best songs by The Decemberists, Libertines, Bablyshambles, and Franz Ferdinand?
ty for the star, Dave. Take care
Great question
Let’s Start with Franz Ferdinand:
Van Tango (off of their Darts of Pleasure ep)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDdBD8-pi Yk&feature=related
Your Diary (off of Do You Want To (CD1)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD5seKfK4 RY
The Dark of the Matinee (off of their self titled album)
L.Wells (off of their single, The Fallen)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3zzTXNS4 Aw
Tell Her Tonight (off of their self titled)
Walk Away (off of You Could Have It So Much Better)
What You Meant (also off of You Could Have It So Much Better)
This Boy (You Could Have It So Much Better)
Ulysses (off of Tonight)
*I really, really do love Franz Ferdinand, the only thing is that their newest album, Tonight, is far from my favorite. I highly recommend you listen to their self titled album and You Could Have It So Much Better before listening to the new one. They are far better in my opinion. Oh, and also listen to their singles and ep’s, they are fantastic as well.
Ok, so now The Libertines
all of my fave songs from them are off of their self titled album:
Campaign of Hate
What Katie Did
Last Post On The Bugle
Music When The Lights Go Out
And last but not least, The Decemberists
(i do not have all of their albums but here are some of my faves from what i do own..)
Here I Dreamt I Was An Architect (off of Castaways And Cutouts)
Leslie Anne Levine (off of Castaways and Cutouts)
The Perfect Crime #2 (off of The Crane Wife)
O Valencia! (off of The Crane Wife)
16 Military Wives (Picaresque)
The Rake’s Song (The Hazards of Love)
I hope that this all helps you and I hope you enjoy it all!
